About the Artist 

Dezarre Boone is a San Antonio based artist best known for her work that generates awareness of body positivity and self-image. She recognizes that body app is not easy, and wants to highlight the importance of self-love through her pieces.  Dezarre conveys her message through mixed media, watercolor, and printmaking. Her grandmother exposed her to art at an early age. Her artistic talents developed at a young age but truly bloomed while enrolled at Our Lady of the Lake. She will receive her All Level Certification with a BA in May 2018 from Our Lady of the Lake University. When Dezarre is not in the studio, she is volunteers as an Art Educator for Spare Parts, a nonprofit that supports Art Education. She recently had the honor of being an Art Educator for the S.T.R.E.A.M program , where she highlighted the importance of art and taking care of the environment.
